Let's Rank Holidays.

It's a random Friday morning in September and that means it is time to rank my top 5 holidays. If you disagree, cry me a river and go rank your own. No one stopping you.

Coming in at number 5, Halloween. Gotta be honest, I'm one of those dudes who doesn't get too excited for Halloween. Will I go out with the fellas and a couple ladies for the night? Shit. Who am I kidding? Of course. Is it a holiday I look forward to every year? No shot. That was for little AB when he cared about dressing up and candy more than anything else. AB is big now. No time for childish endeavors.

Coming it at number 4, and fittingly so, the 4th of July. I love America so I love celebrating America. Where I live, every 4th of July the entire peninsula shuts down and parties (responsibly) all day. The beach, the fellas, the ladies, the drinks, the food, the fireworks. I mean come on. America rocks. And if you or your friends aren't grilling on the 4th, deport yourself immediately.

Here's a bonus video of a Thunderbird flying over the block yesterday, you're welcome.

Coming in at number 3, Thanksgiving. When it comes to holidays, you'd be a fool to say Thanksgiving isn't a top 3 holiday. Food and football, ALL DAY LONG. There's something special about eating yourself to the brink of death. Only to then go fall asleep on the couch to the Dallas Cowboys playing whoever they play that year. Let's be clear, as much as people try to label them as such, those shitters in Dallas will never be America's team. Bullshit.

Coming in at number 2, New Years. And no, not for the cliche "new year, new me" BS. I'm never stepping foot in a gym and a new year isn't changing that. New Years is great for the fact that right after Christmas, we just have another built in holiday. How can you not be romantic about New Years? Come right out of Christmas firing into the New Year with more football, the NHL Winter Classic, college football bowl games, a day off, and on and on we go. No brainer, top 3 holiday of all time.

Last, but certainly not least, our number one holiday, Christmas. Unless you grew up having traumatic Christmas experiences or are haunted by the Grinch the movies, there is no way Christmas is not the best. Let's start with the movies. Some great, and I mean great options to choose from. We will rank Christmas movies another day but Elf is top 3 and it ain't 2 or 3. There is nothing, nothing, better than waking up in the morning early for school as a kid in December and smelling the Christmas tree. I lied, there is. Waking up on Christmas morning as a kid is the best. I am sure parents see it all through a different lens but I'm a 27 year old dude with no kids so who gives a damn. Combine all that with the fact you got New Years staring you right down the pipe in a couple days loaded with some all time sports to watch and Christmas is hands down, the number one holiday in the AB ranks.

Disagree? Too bad. I'm right.
