I Was Right

Let's rewind the tapes to late 2020 early 2021. The Los Angeles Chargers missed the playoffs and many placed the blame on lack of talent, execution, roster construction and on and on. Brandon Staley got little to no blame from most people for his decisions that cost his team games. Not me and apparently not Keenan Allen based off this tweet from back then.

If you remember in the 2020-2021 season, the Chargers played the raiders on January 9th with a playoff spot up for grabs and Brandon Staley coached them right out of the game. Fast forward to 2023, nothing has changed. Well the roster has. It has only gotten better. Justin Herbert has established himself as a great QB. Some may say he isn't elite. I will say he is more than enough to get you deep into the playoffs. Austin Ekeler is a good running back. When he is hurt, Joshua Kelley is more than enough at RB. Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are a great WR duo. Gerald Everett is a competent tight end. That offense is more than enough to get you into the playoffs and deep into them at that. Then you look at the defense with guys like Joey Bosa, Derwin James, Khalil Mack, and JC Jackson to name a few and you have a very solid defense. And yet, there they are, 0-2 to start the year. Different players, different offensive coordinator, different schemes. What remains the same? Now finally, the blame is starting to fall on the right guy, Brandon Staley. Who is feeling the heat.
Now look, when Brandon Staley is finally fired, I will find no joy in it as I said below in 2021, but I will feel vindicated.

When Staley is gone, I will miss the opportunity to bet on the Chargers opponent as I did here in the famous Jacksonville game they ended up losing.

That may have been the freest live +1225 bet of all time. Anyway, I say all of this to say, I was right.
Talk soon,

Josh Allen. Quarterback of the Buffalo Bills. I am still confident saying he is one of the best QB's in the league. He's talented. No way...
